Celebrity couple Rasual Butler and wife Leah Labelle killed in car crash (Photos)


Tragedy struck on Wednesday morning after former NBA player Rasual Butler and his wife, Leah Labelle, an R&B singer were both killed in a single car crash accident.

According to TMZ, the incident occurred around 2 a.m. in Studio City, CA, when Butler lost control of his vehicle. Officials believe Butler may have been speeding in his Range Rover when he lost control and struck a parking meter before the car slammed into a wall.




Both Butler and his wife died in the car crash.
Butler, 38, played 14 seasons in the NBA with nine different teams. He was drafted by the Miami Heat in 2002 where he spent his first three seasons and last played for the San Antonio Spurs in the 2015-16 season.
His wife, LaBelle, 31, a Canadian-born American R&B singer was signed to Epic Records. She participated in the third season of "American Idol" in 2004 where she finished 12th in the contest




Reacting to the sad news: LaMarcus Aldridge of the San Antonio Spurs tweeted: "Devastated to hear the news about the passing of my former teammate, Rasual, & his wife. My thoughts and prayers go out to their families during this difficult time. Rasual was an amazing teammate and an even better person. He will truly be missed!"
