Mum feared she had a burst appendix but minutes later she gave birth to a surprise baby girl

A mum who had no idea she was pregnant woke in the night with excruciating pain and randomly gave birth to a baby girl in her bathroom.

Charlene Fullerton, 32, was on the Pill after her and her partner, Steven Fraser, 34, decided they didn't want any more kids after having their third daughter, Emily. The full-time mum from Falkirk, Stirlingshire in Scotland then took in again despite being on the pill.
For the whole nine months she was pregnant, she had no idea because she was still having her monthly periods. The mother even did two pregnancy tests after people asked if she was pregnant and both tests came out negative. She had no pregnancy symptom except for the weight gain. However, in the early hours of August 21, 2017, she woke feeling terrible and rushed to the bathroom only to find out she was bleeding and suffering from severe cramps.
The new mother said: "I had no idea I was pregnant."

She recalled the night she woke in pain, saying: "I know now that these were contractions, but I’d already had three kids and they didn’t feel anything like the contractions I had with them. This was more like a continuous pain."
She immediately woke her partner-of-15 years and told him something was seriously wrong.
She said: "He thought maybe my appendix had burst. He had no idea what was about to happen."
Steven called an ambulance and, after telling the operator about Charlene's symptoms, was told she could be in labour. Within minutes, Charlene confirmed this when she felt the urge to push. The operator then guided Steven through the process, as he delivered their baby girl and placed her in her mother’s arms.

Charlene said she had drunk glasses of wine and smoked a cigarette during the previous nine months. Thankfully, the baby was born healthy and her older children were shocked to find her with a baby when they woke.
She added: "The noise woke up our older girls and they came downstairs to unlock the door. Sophie just gasped and said, 'Mummy, have you had a baby?' They were shocked – but then so were we."
