The official portraits of former USA President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were unveiled on Monday at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C., and people had a lot to say about them.
Michelle
Obama’s portrait was painted by Amy Sherald while Barack Obama’s
portrait, was painted by Kehinde Wiley. Shortly after it was unveiled,
social media users took to various online platforms to air their views.
Actor
and comedian Chris Rock called Barack Obama the "real Black
Panther," musician Common called the former first couple’s portrait
"beautiful" and CNN's Chris Cillizza felt Mrs. Obama's portrait doesn't
really look like her.
