Addicted doctor had $ex with multiple women at GP surgery and sent the video contents out

A doctor, Thomas Plimmer, who engaged in multiple inappropriate relationships with women at his GP surgery, has attributed his behavior to a sex addiction.

Plimmer, a 40-year-old Cambridge-educated physician, faced a tribunal where it was revealed that he conducted regular sexual encounters at his workplace instead of attending to his patients.

The GP has now been found 'guilty' of several misconduct charges after accusations from half a dozen complainants, including one colleague who claimed their weekly sex meetings at the Swindon practice in Wiltshire were 'unwanted' and sometimes forced.

Referred to as Miss A, the woman testified at the tribunal that she was 'groomed' into regular intercourse with Dr. Plimmer at his surgery, feeling used as a 'sex object' to alleviate his boredom.

It was also disclosed that explicit videos were sent to her. Dr. Plimmer argued at the Medical Practitioners Tribunal that all the acts were consensual, attributing everything to his sex addiction.

The tribunal delivered its verdict, finding the case against Dr. Plimmer 'proved and determined' in relation to some counts and 'not proven' in others. Dr. Plimmer is set to face a further hearing in April next year to determine his punishment.

In a complex outcome, the tribunal ruled that he sent unsolicited explicit videos to Miss A, engaged in inappropriate behavior at work, and initiated physical contact.

However, allegations of non-consensual actions were not proven. Threats and physical violence towards Miss A were also not substantiated.

The tribunal acknowledged that Dr. Plimmer knew Miss A was vulnerable at some point, and an allegation that he suggested she should visit a suicide booth was found to be proved. Charges of abusing a more senior position and using his power over her were not proven.

Dr. Plimmer had already admitted engaging in oral sex during working hours with another woman, known as Miss B, and having sexual intercourse with yet another complainant, Miss C, during working hours.

He also admitted sending unsolicited explicit photos to Miss E on two occasions while at work. In a conversation with Miss D, it was proven he had threatened Miss F. He had already admitted that many of the allegations were sexually motivated.

During the hearing, Dr. Plimmer attempted to attribute many of his actions to a 'sex addiction,' expressing remorse for lying and causing consequences to patients. The presenting case accused him of manipulating people with charms and lies.

Six women had filed complaints, with Miss A testifying that she would 'bear the scars' for life. She claimed that Dr. Plimmer targeted vulnerable women, asserting that his actions were about "power."

After delivering the verdict, the chair of the tribunal panel described the outcome as "complicated," and the tribunal was adjourned until 22 April for the next stage.
